METHOD Colorimetric kinetic test
PRINCIPLE Creatinine in alkaline solution reacts with picrate
to form a coloured complex which absorbs at 500 - 520 nm. The amount
of complex formed is directly proportional to the creatinine concentration.
SAMPLE:
Serum, Urine 24h diluted 1 : 20 with distilled water.
Reagent I : Buffer Reagent
Reagent II : Picrate reagent
Reagent III : Creatinine Standard 2 mg/ dl

NOTE:
For icteric samples pipette 0.5 ml of buffer reagent into test tube
and add 0.1 ml serum sample. Incubate at R.T. for 10 mins. than add
0.5 ml of picrate reagent and aspirate. Rest of the procedure and
programme remain the same.
