METHOD
Kinetic UV test
PRINCIPLE
Glutamic-pyruvic Transaminase (GPT - ALT) catalyses the reaction between
alpha - ketoglutaric acid and alanine giving L-glutamic acid and Pyruvic
acid. Pyruvic acid, in the presence of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH)
reacts wit NADH giving lactic acid and NAD. The rate of NADH consumption
is determined photometrically and is directly proportional to the
GPT activity in the sample.
SAMPLE :
Serum or plasma.
REFERENCE VALUES
0 to 40 U/l
The reference values are only indicative in nature. Every laboratory
should establish its own normal ranges.
QUALITY CONTROL
Accutestrol N - H
REAGENTS
Reagent I : Buffer reagent
Reagent II : Enzyme reagent
REAGENT PREPARATION
Mix 4 ml of Buffer reagent with 1 ml of Enzyme reagent.
STABILITY : The working reagent is stable for 30 days at
2-8°C.
